Second year course on the History of Political Thought in the Early Modern period. My teaching covers both individual thinkers ranging from Rousseau to Mary Wollstonecraft to Karl Marx and thematic topics covering topics like the French Revolution, Gender and Political Thought, and debates about Empire and Civilisation in the 19th-century. Taught in supervision groups of one or two students.

Large introductory class on Intellectual History as a discipline and its relationship to the History of Political Thought and Political Theory taught at Gonville and Caius College. This class introduced students to the 'Cambridge School' contextualist approach to intellectual history and some of its alternatives, including Straussianism, Foucauldianism, and Koselleck's Conceptual History.

Final year course on the history of international political thought from the Roman Empire to the early nineteenth century Covers the history of International Relations and International Relations Theory, taught in both small groups of one to two students and larger classes. I teach topics on approaches to international politics in the era of Napoleon, the Latin American Wars of Independence, and on slavery and international political thought in the 18th-century.

First year introductory paper on the history of political thought from Hobbes to the present. Subjects include Benjamin Constant, Friedrich Nietzsche, Max Weber, and Hannah Arendt. Taught in small groups of one to two students.
